registered associate marriage and family therapist

I help overthinking, over-functioning daughters of immigrant families quiet their anxiety, settle into their bodies, and build a life that feels like theirs.

You overthink everything. You replay conversations, plan for every possible outcome, and hold it together for everyone around you. Maybe it's anxiety that won't switch off, a breakup you can't stop analyzing, or a family who doesn't understand who you're becoming. You've had therapy before and have plenty of insight, but you still don't feel different.

If you grew up between two worlds, you may have learned early to read the room, keep the peace, and make yourself easy. It can show up in your body before it shows up in words: tension around family, choosing emotionally unavailable people, or exhaustion nobody else can see. You want a therapist who understands the cultural part without needing it explained.

With training in somatics and neuroscience, I bring the wisdom of the body into the room so change can happen where insight alone hasn't. As an Egyptian-American woman, I also understand what it means to live between languages and cultures. I make space for your family, culture, faith, doubt, and spiritual life, including Islamic and Sufi traditions.
